Here you will be welcomed by the highest mountain in Java Island. From Kalimati, you are going to pass through forest as your lane and this will take about 3 hours to reach. Tour Itinerary Program for Hiking to Mt Semeru 3-Days & 2-Nights
Sounds interesting? Here are some details about the trip. So you can picture what you are going to experience. Below is the detailed itinerary for Mt. Semeru hiking during 3-Day & 2-Night Package:
First day: Surabaya ( SUB )/Malang City – Ranu Pane Homestay ( L, D )
- You will be fetched at Juanda Airport in Surabaya or Malang. It is recommended to arrive in the morning. After meeting point, you will then be taken to Ranu Pane Village with a best vehicle. It is equipped with air conditioning to ensure your comfort.
- It will take 5 hours drive if start the trip from Surabaya. If we start from Malang, then it is just 2 hours drive.
- On the way to Ranu Pane, we can stop by and visit some places. We can visit Pelangi Waterfall and some temple. After we arrive at that village, then we will then have a rest at a homestay located around there.
Second day: Ranu Kumbolo – Kalimati Camp, 2700 M ( B, L, D )
- On the second day, we will start trekking to Kumbolo right after having our breakfast. This trekking to the lake will take 4 hours. The beautiful lake of Ranu Kumbolo is naturally beautiful, which is perfect for our break time.
- We are going to have lunch on Kumbolo crater, pack our things and continue the trekking. We will continue to Kali Mati ( Dead River ) and this will take 3 hours.
- Everyone will arrive in Kalimati to have dinner in the afternoon, and we are going to stay overnight there. It is suggested to rest and go to bed at 19.00 the latest. A lot of powers will be needed to hike the mountain the next day.
Last day: Kali Mati – Semeru Summit, 3,676 M – Surabaya/Malang ( B, L )
- We will need to wake up at 12 o’clock at midnight. We will have breakfast to prepare energy for hiking. This hiking will take in an amazing place while enjoying the view of Mount Mahameru. We will need to hard trek for 5 hours in which we will need to be careful. This is because of to the landslide. It commonly happens here, so packing a strong torch to light the way is a must. While the route is straightforward, there will be sandy ground and your stamina will be tested here.
- After arriving on the top of Mahameru 3,676 M, you can enjoy its view as much as you like. After becoming satisfied with the enjoyment of its amazing view, we will then be back to Kali Mati. We will have breakfast and pack our things. We will go back to the Ranu Pane by 7 hours of soft trekking. Upon arrival on Ranu Pane, the journey will be continued to Malang/Surabaya. We will drop you off there. This is the end of our program Semeru Hiking 3-days 2-nights tour package.
